Can I pull all my intelligence around a topic into one place?
Navatar allows users to search the entire system for items related to a specific sector, initiative, or topic and consolidate them into a single workspace. This space serves as a collaborative area for managing initiatives or tracking items related to the chosen topic.

Users can also use Clips to extract individual lines of text from anywhere in the system and compile them into a single location. This feature is especially helpful when preparing for meetings, as it allows users to extract small pieces of intelligence from longer paragraphs of meeting notes, providing a more detailed level of research.
Where should I search for intelligence to start?
The research tool, located on the right side of the Quick Links bar at the bottom of Navatar, is the ideal starting point for finding intelligence related to a particular topic. This tool allows users to search the entire system for a specific keyword or phrase, including all meeting notes, text fields on every record, and saved documents. The results are organized by grouping object types together.
Where are the different places intelligence can be stored?
Navatar stores intelligence in various places on the site, including notes attached to interactions, fields associated with each record, and uploaded documents. Fortunately, the Research tool in Navatar searches through all these locations to ensure comprehensive results and no information is overlooked.
Is everything searchable if its in Navatar?
Navatar’s Research tool searches through all of the text within the CRM, including record titles, data in text fields on the “details” page of each record, meeting notes, and saved documents. This ensures that no relevant information is missed during the search process.
Can I define or control the scope of my search?
From the search results page, you can click “advanced” to the right of the search name in the top left corner of the screen to see additional search options.
Search by Keywords
This feature allows you to adjust the keyword or phrase you are looking for.
i.e. If you enter “renewables” in this field, the system will show you every instance where “renewables” is mentioned.
Search For Specific Records
This feature allows you to search for a keyword or phrase within the items connected to a certain record. You can stack records using the blue “+” to the right of this field.
i.e. If you want to see every mention of “renewables” that was made in conversations with a specific Investment Bank or Financial Sponsor.
Search By Field Parameters
This feature allows you to search for a keyword or phrase contained within the items connected to a record that fits your selected field parameters. You can stack parameter filters using the blue “+” to the right of the field.
i.e. If you want to see every mention of “renewables” that was made in conversations with firms that are based in Chicago.
Or If you want to see every mention of “renewables” that was made in conversations related to your active deals.
Can I search on mobile?
The research tool is currently only available on the main Navatar site. You will not be able to use the research tool from the Navatar mobile app. However, the search icon that you see in the top right of the app is the standard salesforce search, which can be used to locate specific records.
