What are Fundraising Contacts?

Fundraising Contacts allow you to keep stock of the people from the investor side associated with fundraising processes.

You can see fundraising contacts from the “Fundraising Contacts” section on the bottom of any fundraising page.

How can I add or remove people to Fundraising Contacts?

To add a fundraising contact, you’ll need to click the “+“ icon in the top right of the fundraising contacts section. Follow the prompts to enter the contact information, and then click “Save.”

To remove a fundraising contact, you’ll need to click the “-“ icon in the top right of the fundraising contacts section. You can then use the checkboxes on the left to select the contacts you’d like to remove, and then click “Remove” at the top of the section.

Does Navatar suggest Fundraising Contacts for me?

There are some cases where Navatar can pick up on contacts that should be on the fundraising Contacts for certain fundraisings. When you are entering notes for a meeting, and you have both a fundraising and any contacts tagged to the meeting, Navatar will suggest that you add those contacts to the fundraising.

Use the checkboxes on the right to select which contacts you’d like to tag to the fundraising, and then click the “add” button to add those contacts to the fundraising.

How can I see who knows a Fundraising Contact?

From the Fundraising Contacts section on any fundraising page, you will be able to see all the contacts that have been associated with this fundraising. If you click on the person icon to the left of the contact name, the system will show you all of the internal and external connections that this contact has had with other people in Navatar. This is a great place to see “who knows who” within your network.

How can I review recent interactions with a Fundraising Contact?

From the Fundraising Contacts section on any deal page, you will be able to see all the external contacts that have been associated with this fundraising. On the right side of this section, you will see 3 columns that summarize the interactions attached to these contacts.

The first column shows you how many fundraisings this contact has been on the fundraising contacts of in your system, the second shows you how many meetings in the system this contact has been on, and the third shows how many emails in the system this contact has been on. The records in this section are sorted by this column, showing you the contacts in the order of strongest relationships, and you can click on these numbers to view the interactions.

Can I add fundraising contacts from mobile?

You can access, add and remove Deal Team members from any Deal in the mobile app.

Accessing Fundraising Contacts

From any fundraising record in the Navatar mobile app, you can see the deal team from the “Fundraising Contacts” section.

Adding Deal Team Members (Internal)

To add fundraising contacts, click “add fundraising contacts” from the navigation bar at the top of any fundraising record, search for the contact you’d like to add, then click “save.”
