Log In Notifications

Why do these notifications show up when I login?

Log In notifications are designed to keep you informed of all relevant activity in Navatar. We’ve automated much of the data entry required to capture insights from your calls and emails, and the notifications help ensure that we have all the necessary information that we need from you. You can use the notifications as a checklist to ensure you’ve added all your meeting notes and are aware of any other important activity in the system.

How can I be notified right after I login?

When you log in, you’ll see a pop-up with all your notifications by default. You can snooze this pop-up by clicking the “Snooze” button at the bottom of the window. If you do, you can still view your notifications later by returning to the home page or the page of any record associated with a notification.

What are the types of notifications I am getting?

There are two types of notifications that you will receive: Action notifications and Informative notifications. Action Notifications will always be listed above Informative notifications.

Action Notifications

Action Notifications serve as reminders for items that require action from you in the system. These notifications include reminders to add meeting notes and to review tagged items from saved emails. Action notifications always have an action button on the right of the notification. Click this to complete the action.

Informative Notifications

Informative Notifications provide updates on activity in the system that may be relevant to you but do not require any action. These notifications include any activity on themes that you are tagged to, any activity on deals where you are part of the deal team, and any new clips that you have been added to. Informative notifications will not have an action button, but you can click on the name of the notification to be directed to the associated item.

Can I come back later and address the notifications?

If you don’t have time to address the notifications immediately, you can always snooze them and return to them later. Simply click the “Snooze” button at the bottom of the pop-up window, as shown below. You can still view the notifications later by accessing the “Notifications” section on the home page or by clicking the notifications icon from the top right of any record page.

How do I close out Notifications?

There are two ways to permanently dismiss a notification: by completing the action or dismissing the notification.

Closing a notification by completing the Action

You can complete the associated action by clicking the blue action button on the right side of the notification, as shown below, and following the necessary steps. Please note that the blue action button only appears for action notifications, and not informative notifications.

Closing a notification by dismissing the notification

Another way to dismiss a notification is to click the “x” on the left side of the notification. Please note that this action permanently dismisses the notification, and it will no longer be visible on either the home page or record level. However, you can still view and edit the associated meeting notes later, if necessary.

Are they specific to me or the entire team?

Notifications on the home page or record page are user specific, ensuring users receive only relevant notifications. When an item, like a meeting or deal, is attached to multiple users, each will receive the same notification.

Can I turn the notifications off when I login?

Navatar’s notification system is designed to help users make sure they enter notes for every meeting, ensuring that all intelligence from meeting notes can be leveraged when sourcing new deals. You can permanently dismiss a notification by clicking on the “x” on the left side of the notification.

If necessary, home page notifications can be deactivated. For more information, contact our Concierge Support Team.

Can a list of notifications seen somewhere else?

Notifications are viewable only on the home page or individual record page. The “Notifications” section on the home page displays all incomplete notifications assigned to you. On any record page associated with a notification, you can access the notifications by clicking on the notifications icon, as shown below.

Will I see the notifications on mobile?

You have all of the same meeting note options on your mobile device that you have on the main site. You will receive notifications when logging into the app as well as on each record page, and you can tag and create records just the same as you would do on your computer.

Can I take action on mobile?

You can click on the subject of the notification to complete the action. You will be able to tag and create records just the same as you would on your computer, and the system will suggest tagged items for you as well.

How are the notifications sorted?

Notifications on both the home page and record page will be sorted with the Action notifications on the top and Informational Notifications below. Within each of these sections, all notifications will be sorted chronologically, with the most recent notification on top.

If I take action, are other users notified of my action?

If a user takes action on an item that involves other users (e.g., a meeting, deal, or theme with multiple participants), the other users will not receive an informative notification that action has been taken on the item.
