Keyword Search

How do I search a topic across multiple tagged records?

Navatar’s Research tool lets you identify trends and topics by searching all meeting notes and documents within the system. Simply go to the “Research” tab on the Quick Links bar at the bottom of Navatar and enter any keyword or phrase to search the entire system.

I search on a keyword, are all of the tagged records referenced in addition to all interactions?

When using the Research tool to search for a keyword or phrase, you’ll see two sections related to interactions on the results page. One displays notes from the interaction, and the other displays all records that were tagged to the interaction.

 Interactions

The first is a section titled “Interactions.” This section will show you all of the interactions where the keyword or phrase that you entered has been referenced, and the corresponding meeting notes.

Tagged

At the bottom of the results page, you will see another section titled “tagged.” This section will show you all the interactions with tagged records that match your keyword search. You will also see the other items that were tagged to the interaction.

Why should I tag as many records as possible?

Tagging records to interactions helps uncover the interconnected network of relationships within your firm, using intelligence from your notes. However, the quality of the output depends on the quality of the input. To maximize your chances of gaining a competitive edge in your next deal process, it’s important to tag as many records as possible.

Can I save a keyword search and build upon it?

When using the Research tool, you’ll often be conducting research as part of a larger initiative, such as expanding into a new sector or gauging interest in investments there. To make it easier to reference your search results, you can save your search by clicking “Create Theme” on the top right corner of the Research results page. This will create a collaborative workspace where you can manage your initiative.
