How Items Get Multi-Tagged in Meeting Notes

Why multi-tagging is important to be able to access relevant information

When you have conversations with bankers, executives, and advisors, you often refer to various other companies, banks, and people. Therefore, linking these conversations to each relevant item is crucial to track the frequency of its mention. This comprehensive approach provides you with a firm-wide intelligence overview related to a particular item.

How do companies/deals/contacts get automatically multi-tagged by Navatar?

Once you enter your meeting notes into the meeting note window, whether by typing, pasting, or importing them, Navatar will scan the text of the meeting notes for any related items in your database. Before saving the note, Navatar presents you with a list of suggested items to tag, as shown below. Select the items you’d like to tag from this screen using the checkboxes on the left, and click “Tag.”

What if I don’t want automated multi-tagging?

Multi-tagging simplifies meeting note entry by minimizing the required effort. However, if you want to avoid tagging records suggested by the system, you can simply click “cancel.” This will still save the notes and tags as entered on the previous screen, but will not tag any of the suggested items from this screen.

If necessary, automatic tagging can be deactivated completely, although we do not recommend it. For more information, contact our concierge support team.
