Information About Our Use of Cookies

Our website uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of our website. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our website and also allows us to improve our site.

A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we store on your browser or the hard drive of your computer if you agree. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive.

We use the following cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our website. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our website, use a shopping cart or make use of e-billing services.
  • Analytical/performance cookies. They allow us to recognize and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our website when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.
  • Functionality cookies. These are used to recognize you when you return to our website. This enables us to personalize our content for you, greet you by name and remember your preferences (for example, your choice of language or region).
  • Targeting cookies. These cookies record your visit to our website, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed. We will use this information to make our website and the advertising displayed on it more relevant to your interests. We may also share this information with third parties for this purpose.

You can find below more information about the cookies we use and the purposes for which we use them:

1. Hubspot – This is the marketing automation tool that we use that can start tracking individuals once they enter a form on the website, or open/click on an email. Once that individual is cookied, s/he will be tracked as they browse our website, gathering information like which pages they visited on the site. For more information, see the list of cookies Hubspot places on a visitor’s browser here.

2. Google Analytics – We use Google Analytics to gain insights into how users find and use our website. We do not use Google Analytics to collect Personally Identifiable Information, but rather on aggregate. Information we may collect from Google Analytics include acquisition, behavior, and conversion data by traffic source; pageviews, average time on page, bounce rate on each of our web pages; geographic and demographic information on our web traffic; and site speed and performance. Please see Google Analytics’ data privacy and security policy here. Information about how Google Analytics uses cookies to measure user-interactions on websites can be found here.

3. Wistia– This is a tool we use for video marketing that can identify the IP address of a visitor who watches videos on our website. Furthermore, Wistia can identify the viewer’s operating device and browser information. Also, if a video was sent through a Hubspot email, and the recipient watches the video, then we will know exactly who watched the video and for how long. Please check Wistia’s privacy policy here.

4. OptinMonster– We use OptinMonster to serve popups to visitors on our site. For example, we can serve up a popup promoting an upcoming webinar when a visitor has indicated they are leaving a page on our site. We cookie visitors so we can set the frequency in which they see the popup (e.g., don’t show the same visitor the popup more than 1x within 30 days). Please check OptinMonster’s privacy policy here.

Please note that third parties may also use cookies, over which we have no control. These cookies are likely to be analytical/performance, functionality, or targeting cookies. Examples of which can be found below:

5. Disqus – We use Disqus Comments widget on our our website for you to be able to comment on our webpages using the Disqus commenting system (see screenshot below). Disqus may collect information about you when you register for and use their service. Please check their data privacy policy for more details here.

6. Sassy Social Share – we use Sassy Social Share to allow visitors to easily share our blogs and webinars via their social media accounts (see screenshot below). While this plugin does not track any user data, it does depend on third party services that do. Please see details below:

    • a) We use a Linkedin Share widget at our website to allow you to share our webpages on Linkedin. These requests may track your IP address in accordance with their data privacy policy.
    • b) We use a Twitter Tweet widget at our website. As a result, our website makes requests to Twitter’s servers for you to be able to tweet our webpages using your Twitter account. These requests make your IP address visible to Twitter, who may use it in accordance with their data privacy policy.
    • c) We embed a Facebook widget to allow you to share our webpages. This widget may collect your IP address, your web browser User Agent, store and retrieve cookies on your browser, embed additional tracking, and monitor your interaction with the widget, including correlating your Facebook account with whatever action you take within the widget (such as “liking/sharing/recommending” our webpage), if you are logged in to Facebook. For more information about how this data may be used, please see Facebook’s data privacy policy.

Opt-out from the collection of device and usage data:

You may opt-out from the collection of device and usage data by managing your cookies at the individual browser level. In addition, if you wish to opt-out of interest-based advertising click here (or, if located in the European Union, click here). Please note, however, that by blocking or deleting cookies and similar technologies used on our websites, you may not be able to take full advantage of the website.

While some internet browsers offer a “do not track” or “DNT” option that lets you tell websites that you do not want to have your online activities tracked, these features are not yet uniform and there is no common standard that has been adopted by industry groups, technology companies or regulators. Therefore, we do not currently commit to responding to browsers’ DNT signals with respect to our websites.
