What is a Fundraising?
A Fundraising record tracks your efforts to get an individual investor to commit to an individual fund. Think of it as a bridge between an investor and fund. Here, you can see all the communications that you’ve had with the investor surrounding a specific fund, keep track of where you are in the process of receiving a commitment, and keep track of the point people that you’ve been communicating with.
How can I view details about this Fundraising?
When accessing a fundraising page, the Acuity tab will load by default, providing you with relationship intelligence related to that fundraising. To edit the specific details of the record, click on the “Details” tab from the tab menu at the top of the page.
Can I add this Fundraising to a theme?
When researching fundraisings to add to a theme, you can use the research tool to search for fundraisings related to a certain keyword or phrase. Once you have found relevant fundraisings, you can add them to a specific theme.

Sometimes, such as when a new fundraising is created, you may know that it should be included in a specific theme. In this case, you can add the fundraising to a theme by clicking the “Add to Theme” button in the top right of the page and following the prompts to attach the fund to the correct theme.
How can I see where the Fundraising is associated with Firms and People?
The left side of the Acuity tab on the deals page has the “Tagged” section which displays Investors and people tagged in interactions related to the Fund. The “Firms” and “Contacts” sections show relevant investors and people, respectively.
The number displayed on the right side of this column indicates the number of interactions that the record and this deal have both been tagged in. The records on this page are sorted by this column, and you can click on this number to view the interactions.
What does the “Funds” tab in the tagged Section show me?
The Deals tab displays Funds mentioned in conversations with Investment Bankers, LPs and other advisors/experts alongside the fundraising you are viewing.
The number displayed on the right side of this column indicates the number of interactions that the record and this fund have both been tagged in. The records on this page are sorted by this column, and you can click on this number to view the interactions.
Will conversations tagged to fundraisings that are connected to this fund roll up into the tagged section?
Because each fundraising is linked to a fund, any interactions that are tagged to fundraisings will automatically roll up to the “tagged” section of the fund. So, when you are entering notes for meetings where you’ve spoken to an investor about a fundraising opportunity, all you will need to do is tag the fundraising record. Those interactions will then be part of the tagged section on both the fundraising level and the fund level.

Where can I see the conversations surrounding this Fundraising?
The interactions displayed in the “interactions” on this page are all meetings and emails in which the fundraising has been tagged. This provides a comprehensive record of all the conversations related to this fundraising that have occurred across your team.
How can I review recent interactions?
You can see these from the “Interactions” section on the top of the contact record page. Here, you will see the four most recent interactions, but you can see the full interactions by clicking the “View All” button in the bottom right of this section. Click on the subject of any interaction to view the full interaction details.
How can I enter new Interactions?
Navatar gathers a significant amount of interaction data from Outlook, but occasionally interactions may occur outside of Outlook, such as a phone call or a chance encounter at a coffee shop. To include these interactions in the record, click the “Draft” button located in the top-right corner of the “Interactions” section on any Contact record page.
How can I add meeting notes to an existing interaction?
From the Interactions Window
From the interactions section, you’ll be able to see which of the four most recent interactions do not have notes attached because they will have a blue “Add notes” button on the interaction card. Click this button to add notes.
From View All
To view all interactions linked to this fund, click “View All” in the bottom-right corner of the “Interactions” section. Note that interactions without attached notes will have a blank “Details” column. To add notes, select the subject name to open the meeting note window, then click “Edit” in the top-right corner.
How can I see what themes and clips have been tagged to this Fundraising?
The left side of the fund page contains the “Tagged” section. Here, you can view records that have been tagged in interactions with this fundraising, as well as any Themes or Clips that this fund is a part of. The “Themes” and “Clips” columns in this section allow you to view these connections.
Can I see this Fundraising on Mobile?
From the Navatar Mobile app, you will be able to see any items that are directly related to the Fund, such as Interactions and Fundraising Contacts. You will only be able to see the tagged section from the main Navatar site.
