Can I easily clone a workspace to create a new one?
To duplicate a theme, click the “clone” button in the top right corner of any theme page. This is useful when you want to further customize a new workspace, while keeping the original workspace intact.
For example, if you create a theme for tracking companies and advisors in the Energy sector, but later identify a sub-industry such as Renewables, you can clone the original theme and use it as a starting point for building out the Renewables workspace.
How can users interact with the workspace to collaborate?
All Navatar users within your organization can view, add, and remove records from Themes. To keep everyone updated on Theme activity, use the Theme Team. Any user on the team will receive notifications when an item is added, removed, or edited.
You can access the Theme Team from the “Theme Team” tab at the top of the Theme page. Use the “+” and “-” buttons in the top right corner to add or remove users from the team.
Can I access the workspace from mobile?
Currently, Themes are only available on the main Navatar site. You will not be able to view or edit Themes from the Navatar mobile app.
Can I bulk add records to a theme?
Navatar’s research tool helps you identify records in the system that contain a common keyword or phrase. Once you have your desired list of records, add them to a theme by clicking “Add to Theme” in the top right corner. Use the “Advanced” button on the following page to select which record types to add to the theme.

Can I bulk remove multiple records at a time?
To remove records from themes, click the “-” button in the top right corner of each section on the Theme page. This will display checkboxes on the left, allowing you to choose which records to remove. After making your selection, click “remove.”
Can I update records directly from the workspace?
Theme lists are intended to give you an overview of all records that are related to a particular initiative. Thus, you will not be able to edit records directly from the theme page. If you’d like to make changes to a record, you will need to click on the record to navigate to that records page in order to make changes.
How can I tell if a record has been added to a workspace while viewing said record?
If you are listed on the “Team” of any theme, you will receive notifications any time a record is added to that theme. If you are viewing a theme while another user adds a record to the page, you will still receive a notification, although you may need to reload the page to see that new record reflected.
